Sexy Floors are in a fortunate position. We have a flourishing business and have a great group of hard working staff and franchises. We’re living the dream. However over the past twelve months, we’ve been hearing first hand from customers about the heartbreak of sudden natural disasters.

When our customers call and order a floor, we know we’re only a small part of their road to recovery. However, we’d like to think we give them something very special. Sexy Floors’ mantra is ‘laying designer floors at affordable prices’. This has always been our mantra and always will be.

Why? Because every day we get to be creative. It starts from the clever marketing campaigns and ends with our one-of-a-kind flooring designs. We believe in our product and service so much, it resonates and the whole experience becomes exciting. Fun becomes contagious. Some customers have even cried with delight over our creations and for us, that’s what it’s all about.

But our TLC isn’t limited to people. We take our environmental responsibility very seriously. This was highlighted in late 2010 when we won the “HIA Greensmart: Product Of The Year Award”. We certainly don’t work to win awards but it’s wonderful to be recognised not only for our great product but because of dedication to delivering something that exceeds environmental standards.

So after all that’s said, Sexy Floors would like to share our great fortune (and sunshine) with our customers and give them wonderful holiday to remember. Our headquarters are based in Queensland and we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Metaphorically speaking, we’ll be there with a hat, sunscreen and smile, sharing in the great fortune and opportunity Queensland has created for us.

What are safe and sexy floors?

We at Sexy Floors have three rules before we classify your floor as Sexy.

MUST be environmentally friendly.
MUST be allergy free.
MUST evoke interest or desire.

One floor project recently undertaken for a surf shop was coloured to match the ever changing blue, green and turquoise of the ocean. Imagination is Key!

Now in the "noughties" (2000's), customers are looking more for character in their floor other than the more traditional one colour floor to go with the one colour on the wall. Our customers are looking for their customers to be attracted to their shops and offices and what better way than to have a floor that screams Unique Character!

Our floors evoke interest. This is especially so for our clients in the retail industry. Our most popular floors are our metallic looks [aluminium, bronze and copper] but even though these are popular we are not limited by them. Example; "Candy at the Fair" Floor was a pastel pink with white swirls. We loved it too but then again we are a little bias.

About the Products we use…

Our product epoxy, consists two chemical compounds. When these compounds are mixed together, a chemical reaction occurs causing the mix to set to a hard plastic like finish. Epoxy is ideally suited for all floor types as it is seamless and is bonded direct to the substrate.

One of the advantages epoxy has over a lot of products on the market is the fact that the colour and style can be changed right in front of your eyes. Maybe a little more blue? Would you like more depth? Less Depth? Or would you like us to use our already demonstrated creative talents and surprise you?

We encourage you to use your imagination or ours to design a concrete coating finish that is durable, low maintenance and environmentally friendly.

Who are the Sexy Floors Team?

Sexy Floors is a family run business, with Kelvin Shaw and his wife Robyn J. Cooper as the owners and operators. Kelvin Shaw is a man with artistic flair when it comes to using epoxy. He has a creative edge and vision when designing and colour matching resin products. For over 25 years Kelvin has worked with all forms of flooring, but he now prefers to concentrate on seamless concrete coatings.

Kelvin’s unique floor art is leading the way, with world first designs and metallic colours.

Robyn J. Cooper has helped create this exciting business. With an extensive background in Marketing and Administration, Robyn is committed to promoting the unique changes to traditional concepts of epoxy floors. Her entrepreneurial foresight has seen Sexy Floors start as an idea, after appreciating Kelvin’s talent, and developing it into a successful business, which has just sold its first franchise. Great going team!

Well, they are new, fun and exciting. It’s a fact! These floors are different.
